About Moms Café

How it all began

Moms Cafe Cochrane was formed by a team of local moms who know what it’s like to have great, victorious seasons of mothering, but also know what it’s like to struggle and feel like we have no idea what we are doing. Some of our team have grandchildren and some have toddlers, but there’s one thing we have in common:  we can’t walk through motherhood alone. After discovering what we need to succeed in our seasons, and after talking with other moms, we have tailored this program to help meet those needs.

The four pillars

We long to belong, to be a part of something, to have value and to contribute. Whether you feel like you’ve got it all together or you don’t, there’s a seat for you at this table. We strive to create an environment that is welcoming and safe so every mom can be seen, known, and loved for who she is today.

A community is a group of people who have something in common. Every mom has one great task in common: to raise her kids. We believe the best way to walk with each other is in authentic community – where the relationships we form with each other are genuine, deep, and life-giving.

We don’t need someone to tell us we’re doing it wrong and we’ve failed, but we do need people to pick us up and help us keep going. Encouragement will come in many forms, including the speakers, mentor moms, and peers. There will also be practical tips to help us grow as moms and individuals.

Mature moms who have raised their kids get to share insight and wisdom with moms who still have their kids at home. What a gift to have someone to talk to who has been there but is farther along the path. Mentor moms will cheer you on while offering understanding and a wise perspective.
